Si tratta di un elemento costitutivo della suddivisione dei lavori che consente alla direzione del progetto di definire le fasi necessarie per il completamento dei lavori. Come tale, può essere pensato come un sotto-progetto, che, se combinato con altri work package, forma il progetto completato.
It is a building block of the work breakdown structure that allows the project management to define the steps necessary for completion of the work. As such, it can be thought of as a sub-project, which, when combined with other work package units, form the completed project.
